Situated on the slopes of the Constantiaberg, Constantia Uitsig, which means “Constantia View”, is named for its unique position in the valley, offering endless stretches of vineyards and mountains which surround the farm gracefully. This historic wine estate is nestled in the oldest wine-producing region in the Southern Hemisphere with roots that extend back to 1685, with Constantia’s uninterrupted history of wine making that stretches back over 300 years.
Focused on creating a select range of wines that pay tribute to their unique terroir and heritage, Constantia Uitsig is proud to present a range of world-class wines. The decomposed granite and sandstone soils in the sheltered valley facing False Bay, the crisp Atlantic ocean breeze, and the gentle climate have all combined to create consistently exceptional wines for the past 3 centuries. It’s why this area was chosen to plant the first vines in Southern Africa. Being the lowest lying farm in the valley, Constantia Uitsig’s rich, fertile soils are ideal for producing world-class wines.
